Planning a Paris transfer with children
Choose a vehicle for the whole family load, not only the number of adults. Child seats, a pushchair and suitcases must fit together; installed seats can affect available space.
Compare your options
A direct journey can help when travelling with tired children and luggage, but every family has different needs. Share children’s ages and heights, pushchair type and large cases for suitability confirmation. Do not assume a child seat is available without agreement.
Do not infer a child seat from the car model
A spacious or VIP vehicle does not guarantee the right seat for every child. Provide age, height and weight where needed to confirm equipment. If bringing your own seat, explain installation requirements.
A baby and an older child may need different arrangements. Passenger layout and luggage space must be checked together for the actual vehicle, rather than inferred from a commercial name.
Count pushchairs and suitcases together
Folding mechanisms, carrycots and accessories affect loading. Separate large cases, cabin luggage and day bags. The group luggage guide helps identify their combined volume.
Cases may stay at the hotel on a park day, so do not copy every requirement unchanged. For Disneyland, also consider evening tiredness and the pickup point.
Allow a family-friendly pace
Leaving the flight, collecting bags and taking a toilet break are separate stages. Agree on the meeting around flight details. Mention necessary breaks in your request instead of assuming extra stops are included.
For an Orly arrival, specify terminal and hotel; for the return, pickup time. Confirm child seats in both directions and recheck equipment if plans change.
A practical planning example
Two adults, a baby and a child are not fully described by “four people”. Add each seat requirement, the pushchair and cases. Say if you bring a seat yourself. Confirming the equipment again for the return avoids leaving this question unresolved until departure.
Details to agree before requesting
Mention whether the pushchair folds and provide flight details. Check requirements for both directions. Treat the vehicle and seats as guaranteed only after confirmation. Explain breaks or special needs when requesting the trip.
Your journey checklist
- Give each child’s age, height and equipment needs.
- Describe pushchair folding and accessories.
- Count day bags and large cases separately.
- Confirm seats and breaks in both directions.
