How is a private transfer price in Paris worked out?
Two Paris transfer quotes can look similar until you read what sits behind the total. The vehicle, final address, luggage and waiting arrangements can all change the journey. Let’s make those details visible before you choose.

Compare your options
A private transfer, a regulated taxi and public transport are different services. This guide helps you request a comparable quote for your own journey rather than treating an unconfirmed figure as a published tariff.
Describe the same journey
A quote from CDG to central Paris and one to a Disneyland hotel cover different journeys. Specify the airport, complete address, one-way or return travel and any stops. If you return through another airport, describe that leg separately. The CDG to Paris guide helps you picture the steps after leaving the terminal.
List large suitcases, cabin bags, a pushchair and bulky items as well as passenger numbers. For child seats, give the quantity and each child’s age; a request is different from confirmed availability. If a different vehicle is needed, ask which vehicle the quote covers and why.
Find out what the total covers
Look for a tax-inclusive total, currency, service scope and quote validity. How are waiting, parking, tolls, extra stops or a night pickup handled? Listing these items does not mean each automatically costs extra; the point is to understand how your particular quote treats them. Ask for a written explanation instead of filling a gap with an assumption.
For a return journey, check both dates, times and addresses. Doubling an outbound price does not confirm the return leg. The Disneyland travel guide also explains why a park visit and a hotel drop-off need different destination details.
Compare transport on fair terms
In France, taxi fares are regulated while VTC prices are freely set. Regulated fixed taxi fares for certain airport journeys are therefore not our private transfer tariff. Equally, the word “private” does not mean every additional service is included. Compare the actual written scope rather than a label.
With public transport, add up your group’s tickets and consider changes, the last walk and everything you carry. A per-person ticket and a per-vehicle quote use different units. The Paris family transport guide helps put children’s needs and the pace of the journey into that comparison.
Before comparing a public transport budget, check changes and ticket needs in the metro and RER guide too.
| Option | How to read the price | Check alongside it |
|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | Written total and scope | Vehicle, bags, waiting, stops and payment |
| Taxi | Regulated fare; airport fixed fare where applicable | Official route and supplement rules |
| Public transport | Valid tickets for the whole group | Changes, final walk and operating times |
Check before accepting the quote
Before accepting, match the vehicle, date, time and scope to the details you sent. Payment timing and method, amendments, cancellation and waiting terms should be clear. Read the terms of use and amendment and cancellation information; your accepted quote and confirmation define the commercial conditions of your journey.
Completing the form alone does not mean a vehicle has been allocated. Resolve unclear items before agreeing and keep the written response. At the airport, you can then follow an agreed plan instead of trying to reconstruct what was included.
Details to agree before requesting
Start with your flight, local arrival date, exact addresses, passengers and every bag. Then ask for the total, scope and conditions in writing. Submitting a quote request does not by itself confirm a vehicle booking.
Your journey checklist
- Matching dates, addresses and journey direction
- Passengers, all luggage and requested seats
- Tax-inclusive total, currency and validity
- Waiting, possible extras, payment and changes
Questions about this journey
Why is there no single private transfer price for every Paris journey?
Routes, vehicle needs and service scope can vary. We do not publish an unverified tariff here; asking for a written total and scope for your journey gives you a more useful comparison.
What should I compare first between two private transfer quotes?
Check that both cover the same date, addresses, vehicle needs and journey direction. Then compare the tax-inclusive total, luggage, waiting terms and stops; a starting amount alone is not enough.
Does a night pickup or child seat always cost extra?
This guide does not create an automatic surcharge. Share the time, number of seats and children’s ages; availability and any charges should be explained in the written quote you accept.
Does selecting a return trip automatically confirm the return vehicle?
Each leg needs its date, time, pickup and destination and scope confirmed. A form selection or outbound amount alone does not create a confirmed reservation for the return vehicle.
